Who we are

The Marketing Resort is a brand and web design studio founded by Jessica Rae Saleh, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what personal information we collect through themarketingresort.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, you can always reach us at info@themarketingresort.com.

What we collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you give us directly — when you fill in a contact or enquiry form, email us, or purchase from us, you may share your name, email address, phone number, business details and the contents of your message.
• Payment information — purchases (including the Worlds of Influence book) are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; Stripe handles those under its own privacy policy.
• Information collected automatically — when you browse our site, we and our service providers collect technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the site.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiries and deliver what you have purchased
• To run and measure our advertising, and to understand which pages and offers resonate
• To improve our website, content and services
• To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

The Meta Pixel & advertising

Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a piece of code provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, understand the actions visitors take on our site — such as viewing a page, beginning a checkout or completing a purchase — and to show our ads to people who are most likely to find them relevant.

We have also enabled Meta’s automatic advanced matching. When you provide information such as your email address or phone number on our site, a hashed (scrambled) version of that information may be shared with Meta so your visit can be matched to a Facebook or Instagram account. Meta uses this to attribute conversions to our ads and to build remarketing audiences. The information is hashed before it leaves your browser and is not readable by us or by Meta in its original form.

You can control how Meta uses your data for advertising in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through youronlinechoices.com or aboutads.info/choices.

Cookies & similar technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them to keep the site working smoothly and, through tools like the Meta Pixel, to measure and improve our marketing. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how some parts of the site behave.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Meta — advertising measurement and remarketing, as described above
• Our website hosting and form provider — delivers the site to your browser and forwards form submissions to us by email
• Email and analytics providers — to communicate with you and understand site performance

Each provider processes your information under its own privacy terms and only for the service it provides to us.

Where your data goes

We are based in the United Arab Emirates, and some of our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States and Europe. By using our site you understand that your information may be transferred internationally; we only work with providers who apply appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it — to deliver your purchase, maintain our business records, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve any disputes — after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the UAE’s Personal Data Protection Law and, for visitors from the UK, EU or EEA, under applicable GDPR rules, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Security & children

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and payments are handled by PCI-compliant providers. Our services are intended for adults building businesses; we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a revised date. For significant changes we will do our best to let you know in advance.
